Uzbekistan becomes leader in Russia's ice cream exports

From January to April 2026, Uzbekistan became the leading exporter of ice cream made in Russia by value. The country's stake in Russian ice cream exports amounted to 29%, compared to 26% for Kazakhstan, 15% for Belarus, 7% for Mongolia, and 4% for Abkhazia. This was stated by the federal center "Agroexport".

According to expert estimates, Russian ice cream exports are growing steadily. From January to April 2026, shipments increased by 12% in volume terms, reaching over 3,500 tons, and by 29% in value terms.

Agroexport cites sees increased shipments to Armenia and Uzbekistan as the main driver of ice cream exports (growths of 6.6 times and 2.4 times, respectively). Furthermore, shipments of the category grew significantly to the Republic of Korea and Kyrgyzstan (+86%), Tajikistan (+55%), and Abkhazia (+51%). In 2026, Russia exported ice cream to more than 40 countries.
