Russia and Thailand to discuss new investment protection agreement
The conclusion of an investment protection agreement will be discussed at a meeting of the joint Russian-Thai commission on bilateral cooperation. The event is scheduled for August. This was stated by Vladimir Kovalev, Executive Director of the Russian-Thai Business Council (RTBC).
The issue of protection for joint investments, as well as the creation of a legal framework in the area, is already being actively discussed, he stressed. The Russian-Thai Business Council has prepared a consolidated business position on this issue. Furthermore, the agreement is also under development by the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, under the supervision of its head, Maxim Reshetnikov.
