REC: Russia to expand exports to Chinese market
Demand for Russian products among Chinese consumers is steadily growing. The range of products exported to China is expanding. This was announced by REC Head Veronika Nikishina at the "Made in Russia" festival and fair.
In the first months of 2026, exports as part of the "Made in Russia" festivals increased by 30% in volume and 45% in value compared to the same period in 2025.
While previously, expansion into the Chinese market was primarily driven by agricultural goods, demand is now also growing for industrial goods, tourism services, cosmetics, and perfumes. Seafood, meat, confectionery products, and alcohol are enjoying significant popularity. Dispelling myths about Chinese consumer preferences, the REC Head stressed that various types of dairy products are sought-after in China. Handicrafts made in various regions of the Russian Federation are also of interest.
Currently, there are more than 300 points of sale for Russian products in 10 provinces of China, including offline and online channels.
