Number of industrial robotics centers in Russia to increase to 30
By 2030, 30 industrial robotics development centers will open in Russia. Ten centers are planned to be launched in the regions in 2026, and another 13 in 2027. Thus, by 2030, the centers will not only be established but also fully integrated into production. This was announced by Valery Piven, Director of the Department of Machine Tool and Heavy Engineering of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, at a meeting Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs on labor productivity as the foundation for sustainable economic development.
According to the department director, a key development center was established in 2024 in Kazan at Innopolis University, which is currently showing good results: it is actively operating and generating revenue.
Last year, over 1.8 billion rubles were allocated to develop a network of robotics centers. It lead to the opening of seven more centers in the regions, tailored to the priority local industries. For example, in Perm, a center based at Promobot focuses on robotics in the mechanical engineering industry, while Innopolis trains qualified personnel. The center offers training programs in industrial robot programming, system design, and technical and technological auditing, as well as training for the managers of such companies. Over 1,000 people have already completed Innopolis' courses, Piven stressed.
