Moscow launches cultural export program
A new program, "Moscow Cultural Export," has launched in the city. It aims to develop the export potential of the city's creative economy and promote Russian culture abroad. This was stated by Deputy Moscow Mayor Natalya Sergunina.
The program's first events have already taken place, she reported. Specifically, from July 15 to 19, experts from China, Colombia, Mexico, and other countries learned about the work of leading Moscow theaters and museums, participated in business negotiations, and discussed potential joint exhibitions, tours, and contracts. On July 17, a session entitled "Expanding Boundaries: Moscow Culture in an International Context" was held during Russian Creativity Week, which was attended by international partners. Participants discussed global industry trends and promising formats for collaboration.
The next stage of the program is planned for this fall. In September, Moscow playwrights will present their plays to theater directors from different countries. And in October, experts from the city will travel to the China International Licensing Exhibition in Shanghai.
