First Russian AI accelerator for robots and smart city systems created in Technopolis Moscow SEZ

A resident of the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone (SEZ) has created Russia's first neural network accelerator, the LinQ HX, for embedded systems based on a domestic microprocessor. It uses only Russia-made components. This was stated by Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Moscow Mayor for Transport and Industry.

The Moscow SEZ resident has showcased a module capable of becoming an alternative to foreign AI accelerators, he explained. The computing core is based on a Russian microchip for artificial intelligence — a proprietary development by the company, which is registered with the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The developer of the device became joined the SEZ in 2025. The business has invested nearly 800 million rubles in development since then. The accelerator, created by the company, processes data in real time without requiring an internet connection or a cloud service. The AI accelerator's output reaches 30 trillion operations per second. These characteristics enable the simultaneous operation of up to five neural networks with a latency of 1.5 to 2.3 milliseconds. The device supports a wide range of interfaces, from sensors and video cameras to control systems. Power consumption is no more than 40 watts.

Currently, the solution has not yet been deployed in Moscow's urban infrastructure, but it could potentially find application in video surveillance systems for automated detection of incidents. The accelerator will also empower the industry to create more autonomous robots capable of spatial reasoning and performing complex tasks independently. Another potential application area is healthcare. The development could be used to create comprehensive AI systems for diagnostics and continuous patient monitoring.
